Birthday
Happy 2020! Kind of sad, that 2019, I did not write anything! Well, if ask a question, how was 2019, can’t say, in one word as, ‘good, bad, sad, horrible, fantastic, successful.....’! It’s very subjective, and it depends on, how you measure and in what terms and what are the things you taken into consideration, when you decide as good or bad or sad or successful or fantastic or okay or not just okay! You measure, based on materialistic, personal, relationships, or over all? So many areas, may be the happiest, many may need more effort, improvements, many might be disappointing....! So I generally don’t measure, or give lot of importance to these kind of end of the year or beginning of the year questions and also I stopped doing, the new year resolutions from last two years! The resolutions which I can’t stick to or follow up or it’s the same monotonous things, of exercise/diet/being a better person.....which actually should not be a resolution but a must to do, on a daily basis!
So I would say, another year passed, it’s already, 3 years, June2020, Appa left! The emptiness, the silence, is growing.....! The warm, kind, caring, soothing, words, the long talks, conversations, which would have given peace, clarity, vision, a solution, a direction with Appa, is all filled, now with silence! I do keep going back and forth on-those past conversations with him, and based on that try to find solutions or solace to my current situations!
There would not be a single day, which has passed without remembering Appa! January 22nd is his, birthday! January 1st, I thought, oh it’s Appa’s Birth month! All I would have done is, wished him on the phone......and in response, he used to bless in abundance, his wishes for us, was always, lengthy, and hearing to his blessings, would give tremendous amount of courage, support, and courage! Past 2 years, not listening to his words, feels that, all the blessings, kind words are no more for me!! I miss him , I miss his warm words, his support, his philosophical thoughts, and views, his deep and vast knowledge about spirituality, religion, life, and the way he understood science and adopted in understanding the philosophy was amazing!
It’s been cold and snowing from past couple of hours, and it’s a long weekend, having nothing much to do on a cold noon, thought of writing, as it’s Appa’s Birthday, nearing...in 4 days. Making coffee now, and cheers, on Happy 91st Birthday to the most wonderful Appa, whom I miss terribly and remember him dearly always! Love You, Appa!
